The project is lead by The Happy Mums Foundation and Open Lab (Newcastle University), with many other organisation's being involved in the co-production. Happy Mum's shared: At Happy Mums, we believe every story matters, especially those that are often left untold. Over the past few years, we’ve been privileged to walk alongside mums from all walks of life, listening, learning, and growing together. This project, which began as a seed of research, has blossomed into something truly special: a report and animation that reflect the voices, experiences, and resilience of north Cumbrian mums."

Maternal Listening: ‘See the Whole of Me’

"This animation was co-created with mums and mums-to-be from Cumbria through a series of participatory workshops led by OpenLab (Newcastle University) in collaboration with Voluntary, Community and Social Enterprise (VCSE) organisations including The Happy Mums Foundation and Ways to Wellness. ‘See the Whole of Me’ was created as a resource for raising awareness about maternal mental health and peer support and also to foster compassion and person-centred communication in maternity care. The animation was developed in collaboration with Roots and Wings and made possible by funding and support from the UKRI network INCLUDE+ and EPSRC Centre for Digital Citizens."
