What is maternity triage?

Maternity triage is where you contact or visit when you need urgent advice or care during pregnancy or after birth.

We want to make sure this service feels safe, supportive, and works well for everyone who uses it.

Why are we asking for your feedback?

We are running a short survey to understand what it is like for people who use maternity triage. Your feedback helps us understand what we are doing well and what we could do better.

This is your chance to tell us about your experience, in your own words.

Who can take part?

You can take part if you recently used the maternity triage service.

What will the survey ask me?

The survey asks simple questions about your visit or contact with maternity triage, including:

·       Did staff make you feel welcome when you arrived?

·       Were you told how long you might need to wait?

·       Did you feel listened to?

·       Were all your concerns taken seriously and addressed?

·       How was your overall experience?

There are no right or wrong answers. We want to hear what it was like for you.

How will my feedback be used?

Your answers will be used to help us improve maternity triage services across the North East and North Cumbria.

We will look at what you and staff tell us to improve care for everyone.

Do I have to take part?

You can choose if you would like to take part. You don’t have to.

The survey is confidential. Your care will not be affected if you choose not to take part.

How do I take part?

The survey is quick and easy to complete and can be done online.

Thank you for helping us improve maternity triage services.
